Mountain biking can be dangerous. Kings Hill Mountain Bike Group is an informal group, we are not a club or a society and so do not have any ride leadership training or any group insurance.
Each rider is responsible for their own safety.
Ensure your bike is properly maintained and suitable
Always wear a helmet.
Eye protection is a good idea
Ride within your capabilities and skills
Carry a charged phone.
Install What3words app on your phone. If you have to dial 999, this will help the emergency services to find you.
Consider personal insurance that covers you whilst you are mountain biking. If you have insurance cover then you should understand where you can legally ride. Cycling UK has some good information on this here https://www.cyclinguk.org/article/cycling-guide/where-can-i-cycle-off-road
